Netflix and Universal Studios Singapore tie–up on Stranger Things.
SCREAM FOR SCIENCE-FICTION HORROR: USS’s first ever tie-up with Netflix brings the chills of the critically acclaimed science-fiction horror TV series, Stranger Things. Experience the creative ingenuity as Netflix and USS bring to life the series at Resorts World Sentosa. Twelve artfully recreated scenes (including the eerie Upside Down Woods) and storylines feature in the Stranger Things haunted house.
The TV series, which is set in a fictional town in 1980s America, has received several awards and nominations and is now in the production stage of its third season.
BUMP INTO TERRIFYING ASIAN FOLKLORE
Experience the terrain of local horror entities, such as the Pontianak. At the Pontianak haunted house set in a Malay village, thrill-seekers will need to tread carefully. Try to survive the hair-raising scenes of her ‘birth’, and her onslaught of vengeance. The infamous long-haired female vampiric ghost gets her very own haunted house for the first time at USS.
Then, enter vampire-laden secret rooms in Killuminati, the most interactive haunted house ever created in the history of USS’s Halloween Horror Nights. The world of Killuminati refers to the Chinese secret society of vampires that has existed for centuries – where mystery, controversy and nightmares await.
Watch out for exciting stunts and expect lots of twists and surprises in this highly interactive house where even the bravest souls may end up in different secret rooms!
Also new this year are the haunted houses, Pagoda of Peril, and The Haunting of Oiwa.
As you navigate the Chinese-themed Pagoda of Peril, try not to get trapped by malevolent demons and terrifying spirits roaming viciously around the prison. These demonic creatures will battle furiously to seek freedom. Come face-to-face with the vicious Yang, Yin Ling, as he yearns for eternal life and power.
You also step back in time to the chilling Edo-era of Japan in The Haunting of Oiwa and come face-to-face with Lady Oiwa, who returns from the dead after being poisoned by her unfaithful husband, to seek revenge.
